Fuel Efficiency: Fuel efficiency will improve across the board. With improved aerodynamics, lower weights thanks to our mixed materials strategy, and more efficient powertrains, Silverado will offer the most fuel efficient lineup ever.
Connectivity and Infotainment: With simple, easy-to-use touchscreens, standard Bluetooth, USB, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and available built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot (data plan required), OnStar, and Navigation Silverado offers great connectivity in every trim level.
Powertrain Choices: Silverado’s new powertrain lineup includes the first diesel engine we’re offered in a light-duty pickup in over thirty years, along with a great selection of EcoTec3 V6 and V8 engines, there’s a poweretrain for every need.
Eight Distinctive Trim Levels: Each of the Silverado’s eight trim levels makes a bold statement, and offers a definitive choice. Each has its own unique front-end treatment and wheels selected to match, with carefully tailored exterior touches of black, body-colour, and chrome accents.
Trailering Features: New trailering features, like hitch guidance with Hitch View, Trailer Tire Pressure Monitor, Trailer Light Sequence testing and circuit monitoring, and the trailering more convenient, easier, and helps make it safer.
Bed and Box: Silverado’s redesigned cargo box is longer and wider, with class-leading cargo volume. With available features like 12 standard tie-downs, innovative bed lighting, power lock and release tailgate, and an industry-first power up/down tailgate, there are lots of great features to attract truck buyers in the bed alone.
Trailer Length: With a compatible trailer hooked up and the electrical connections fixed, the infotainment screen will display a RED Overlay or Carpet like tract twice the length of the trailer in two when the turn signal indicator is on, so intent to change lanes. This provides the driver the ability to see if the vehicles are in a potential blind spot area and can help prevent hazardous situations and accommodate safe lane changes for the truck and trailer.
Jack-Knife Alert: A fantastic addition for those towing trailers at all levels of experience. This system will track the position of the compatible trailer in relation to the vehicle and provide an alert if a potential jack-knife situation is believed to be imminent. This can prevent expensive damage to either the Truck and/or Trailer and help avoid other hazardous situations that could arise.
Cargo Bed View Enhancement: A similar view that we first saw on the HD Trucks of 2020 has now become available on all new GM Trucks. This system comprises Cargo Bed Zoom View and Bed Hitch Guidance, which provide a rearward facing view of the truck that helps to align and hook up a gooseneck/fifth-wheel trailer.
